ABOUT US

When Jason Lewis returned to Kansas City in 2001 to work for Arklyn Homes, he became the fourth generation of his family to become a homebuilder. He joined his mother, Marilyn Lewis, who co-founded the company in 1986 with her brother. He also took on the challenge of building quality homes at an affordable price and delivering them on schedule.

Jason also followed in the footsteps of his grandfather Glenn Bolling, his great-grandfather Ira Bolling and his great uncle Howard Bolling. That trio built almost 40 per cent of the new homes constructed in the Northland during the 1950's through the early 1970's.

Then Arklyn Homes took over the tradition of building quality entry level homes by constructing over 650 houses in the Clayton, Clayton Meadows and Clayton Meadows West Subdivisions between 1986 and 1999. The company was building duplexes and new homes in Platte City when Jason returned.

Jason first worked for Arklyn Homes as an apprentice carpenter building decks and later as a rough-in carpenter framing new homes during the summer months while in high school and college. Since returning to the company, he has built new homes in the Estates of Platte Valley, Park Ridge, Granada Oaks, Parkview Manor, Briarcliff West Towne Villas, Park Forest , Bristol Park, Drake's Crossing, Creekwood, Highland Meadows, The National and Oakwood Forest subdivisions. Jason is currently building in Thousand Oaks and Silverbrooke.

Jason took over as president of Arklyn Homes in 2005 and is a member of the Greater Kansas City Home Builder’s Association. Marilyn is currently working with her company, Marilyn Lewis Properties overseeing the Bello Mondo Duplexes in Platte City.

Featuring homes with 1700 to 3200 square feet of finished living space, Arklyn Homes has homes priced from the $350's to the $600's. With designs ranging from traditional to contemporary, Arklyn Homes offers plans for most segments of the housing market. The two-story plan with the huge bedrooms and walk-in closets, the open front-to-back split, and the traditional split level that have been huge successes in the past, have been updated to include features like Whirlpool tubs, double vanities, walk-in pantries and 3-car garages.

Jason is a 1992 graduate of Park Hill High School and a 1996 graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in business management. He and his wife Rebecca live in Parkville with their son and two golden retrievers. Rebecca is a Buyer’s Specialist with the company. She works with homebuyers to help with the color selections and decorating ideas for their new home. She has a Bachelor of Journalism with an emphasis in advertising and design from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
